We're here!

IT'S OUR FIRST MISSIONS TRIP!!

We've embarked on the first official mission trip sent out by Bashford Manor since we formed our ministry team. We're on a two-week trip to help Dublin Baptist Church's Hispanic Chapel do backyard Bible clubs in Hispanic neighborhoods. We're using Group Publishing's Avalanche Ranch VBS curriculum from 2o07, and we're doing the program outdoors in 4 neighborhoods. We do two this week and two next week. We're out four days a week, doing clubs from 2-4 and 6-8 each day, so it's going to be tiring!

Joshua, Patrick, and I (Sara-Elizabeth) arrived last night right at 5:30--the time the Dublin Hispanic Chapel's service was scheduled to begin. We met Gary and Linda Fisher, the pastor of the Hispanic church and his wife, and the service began almost immediately. Joshua and Patrick were a bit lost during the service, as it was all in Spanish, but that was okay. Afterward they fed us amazing food (some of which was very spicy!), we set up our beds, and we crashed.

This morning Pat and Karey got here at about 10 AM, so we're all here safe and sound! Thanks for your prayers. :-)
