Wow Don't we serve a wonderful amazing God, who prepares our path even before we know that we need it!
I want to share the story very briefly of our couple of weeks running up to the missions trip. I have been working at a Restaurant and barely making ends meet, and had misunderstood and thought Karey had one more check coming in from Whitefield (her school) to help pay our bills. I discovered this was not the case and really had to decide if I could even afford to come out on the trip.
We announced three weeks before we left, that I would have to stay back for one week of the two so I could work to earn enough to keep the wolves from the door. I even sold my golf clubs! After a lot of prayer and discussion we decided that if God is big enough to send us, He was big enough to provide.
Also to add to this we had just been informed that at last our prayers had been answered and we were about to get our first placement under the foster care program but we were to be placed with James two days before we left on the trip which was going to mean we were going to miss more days of work (because Karey has been working at the restaurant with me to help out).
God of course was not surprised by any of this and had already set in place for the current family member looking after James to keep him until the trip was finished.
On the same day as this happened I received a call with a final interview with ATT and a conditional job offer with a wage higher than that which we had expected.
After working on fathers day and arriving in Ohio on the Monday morning after having just 4 hours sleep, We had just enough money to pay the majority of our bills, we had a little left over to get groceries when we return.
“The Lord is good a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows them that trust in Him” Nahum 1:7 this is my life verse and God has yet again shown me, if I truly trust in Him and not myself or my own abilities He will provide for us thru His riches.
I have put this as briefly as possible, but there has been so many more blessings in the last few weeks. But I wanted to share just a few of them with you!
